Your contribution will be a fitting tribute, as well as a gift to all who knew and loved David Talladino.
David Talladino was born on November 19, 1941 and left us on January 12, 2009 at the age of 67.
David Talladino was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in Cleveland and met Linda at the neighborhood playground when she was 16 and he was 18. They got married only four months later on January 16, 1960.
Over the next few years, they began to grow their family and had three children: Buddy, Donna and Ricky. In 1977, David and Linda decided to move to Texas. They took an airplane with one suitcase each to begin their new life in Texas. David and Linda were blessed with their fourth child, Cerissa, in 1979. They continued to build their lives and share in the joy of their family. Over the years they became grandparents of seven grandsons, two granddaughters and one great-grandson.
David loved to spend time with his family and made it well-known just how important they were and how much he loved them. David loved to sing, enjoyed eating donuts (even though he wasn’t supposed to), like to watch football, especially his favorite team the Cleveland Browns. Some of his favorite jobs included being a truck driver, taxi driver and ice cream truck driver.
He endured many hospital visits and doctor’s appointments along his journey, but always perservered. His family appropriately named him “The Energizer Bunny”. He showed tremendous strength through his many trials, but finally surrendered and placed his trust in God and was born again on just a day before he left us to be with the Lord. Three of his grandchildren also dedicated their life to God to follow in Papaw’s footsteps and know that this is not Goodbye and they will see him again soon.
His family was by his side when he went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2009. David was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He always took care of his family, at all costs. January 16, 2009, David and Linda would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. Today let us celebrate his life.
David Talladino is loved dearly by us all and will be greatly missed. He will remain alive in our hearts.
